The college of physical education was started in 1972. The college conducts a two years degree course in physical education, leading to degree of B P Ed. Approved intake is 100 + 100. Actual admissions in 2023-24 was 162.

The college has well equipped gymnasium, badminton court, hockey and football ground and basket ball ground. The college has been recognised by NCTE.
